MILWAUKEE LEADERS DISCUSS MULTIMODAL TRANSIT AT 2022 FALL SYMPOSIUM

Thank you to everyone who joined us at our Sept. 28 Fall Symposium, “Hub and Spokes: Building a Strong Milwaukee and Strong Region Through Transportation.”

It was an excellent morning of thought-provoking discussion about the future of multimodal transportation in Milwaukee, the suburbs and beyond.

Conversations led by business, nonprofit and government leaders, who discussed the future of Southeastern Wisconsin’s transportation.

  • Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson set the stage, discussing the importance of Milwaukee as an economic driver and leader for robust transit and multimodal transit in the region. Replay

  • Our panel, “The Hub: The Role for Transit in a Thriving Greater Downtown,” explored how transit can lift up Milwaukee’s greater downtown and neighborhoods, and the barriers to doing so. Replay

  • Milwaukee County Director of Transportation Donna Brown-Martin spoke about the importance of multimodal transit across the county and beyond — and how counties work together to drive solutions, building on the important role transit plays in business. Replay

  • Our “Connecting Workers with Jobs Through Transit: What’s Next?” panel discussed if and how the transportation needs facing employers across the region are being met. Replay

  • Our regional transportation panel, “The Spokes: Building a Well-Connected Region Through Transit,” explored opportunities and challenges in front of the region’s multimodal transit platforms. Replay

  • We closed with remarks from MobiliSE Board Chairwomen Kathy Ehley. Kathy summarized key themes from the event and gave us a call to action. Replay
